Bad Days…
Posted by Carlo - 30/09/05 at 06:09:13 pmThese are really bad days!
I’m loosing all the joy that have always followed me in my cursades. (even if they were lost from the beginning!)
The rules of the friendship, or so self-styled ones, are coming down again, leaving me in the angry solitude.

So, there are no other things to say, but I have some toughts in my mind:
- Idiots’ Mother is always Pregnant
- Money and Women are not Firendship firend
- Sometime, everyone of us should look inside themselves, being HONEST
I’m hating Italy and italians, and this makes me SAD!

European Data Retention? Money, not People!
Posted by Carlo - 28/09/05 at 08:09:20 amSome days ago Frank issued the news about the Data Retention Law requested by Englans, Ireland, Sweden and France at the European Parliament.
In a short news from Reuters (Sorry, I didn’t find the english version of the story) there is the conclusion of this debate about the debated law.

For this time the “Big Brother Disease”, that is affecting so many politicians, seems to have reached a temporary stop.
Yes, unfortunately it is only a temporary stop, because Continue reading European Data Retention? Money, not People!…

How can someone works like this?
Posted by Carlo - 27/09/05 at 05:09:41 pmARGH!!!
In less than two hours I received five phone calls for software requirements, one meeting for Bug Fixing and Technical Assistance, four people that was questioning me about information easily available on their intranet, eight new screenshot requirement and two server reboot…

Hey, come on! How can you think I can do my job while everyone seems to be unable to live without some information from myself?
This, of course, let you understand how difficult should be the life in a busy office, where you have to implement new software solutions without a single minute of quiet!

TV Volume?
Posted by Carlo - 27/09/05 at 08:09:39 amYesterday was the “Grey’s Anatomy” evening, from 9 to 10PM. The channel was “FOX Life” through SKY.
Let’s forget the TV Serie for a while, let’s think to your remote control, that thing that you should use to change your channel and to fix, initially, the volume of your television. I wuold like to use the remote only for those actions, but the reality is that you have to keep it in your hand all the time, because of the commercials.
While your favourite TV Series are blocked to allow the connercial to hit you, the volume is increased of a sensible level. It’s not something you need to check with electronic instruments, it is not something debatable, it is something that you can clearly hear with your ears. Every time the commercials starts the I have to lower the volume of my tv from 30 to 18 to get the same audible volume.
This is Highly Irritating

Do you call this Justice?
Posted by Carlo - 26/09/05 at 03:09:18 pmFinally Mr. Silvio Berlusconi have seen falling all the charges against him for the “All Iberian” process!
All Iberian was an “offshore” company that was told to have some links with Berlusconi’s Fininvest.
Well, if you think that the magistrates have found the truth, working hard, I have to tell you that this is not the “complete” truth.

Berlusconi has been acquited because the “balance counterfeit” he was accused for is not any longer a crime in Italy.
By the way… the law that had decided about the decriminalization of the balance counterfeit has been created by Berlusconi’s Government!

Hide & Think
Posted by Carlo - 26/09/05 at 02:09:48 pmHi all,
this will be the first “experiment” of english writing. What you are going to read (if you are) is a sort of short story. I hope you will like it and that my writing will be “readable enough”.
a good music for this small thing could be “Gimme the Power” by Molotov.
Nice reading! (And of course comments are WELCOME!
dedicaded to the Liberty
The night.
I have always been addicted to the night. Like a friend it comes when I need “her”, with “her” shadows, with “her” silences…

We disgusts Journalists, but so do they!
Posted by Carlo - 26/09/05 at 09:09:06 amIn these morning I was following some debates ob some “Higher Blogs”, those blogs “Written and Directed” by those Blue Blooded men whose name is Journalist.
Too many times in these days I’ve read about the disgust they feel reading blogs like mine, not only because I am reporting “dirty news” (in the sense that I have no connection with the fresh and uncommented news) but also because Internet is doing something unacceptable: it is upgrading every one of us to the role of a baby-journalist.

I Disgust those Journalists!
First of all I need to tell that I am not really generalizing (because not all the journalists are so) but the italians do. What a shame!

Adsl speed?
Posted by Carlo - 23/09/05 at 11:09:03 amIn these days my SUPER 4MBit ADSL seems have been reduced to an old 56K modem internet connection.
What the h**l is happening? Even if I do not like, I have a powerful 4Mbit in download, but only 256kBit for upload. Unfortunately this is the only solution I could have, independently from the Internet Service Provider I choose.
For those who don’t know, 256Kbit in upload means that when someone is requiring data from my server he can receive it (my webpages, my images and so on) at a maximum speed of 32 KByte/sec. Obviously if there are 5 people at the same time everyone of them will get the data at (32/5) 6,4 Kbyte/sec!!!!
An old modem.
