Casinò: how to understand the Human Stupidity or the existence of the Economical Classes

Yesterday we decided to go in Slovenja to take a dinner out.
We were in Portorose, a cute thermal locality 20 chilometers from Trieste.
The dinner was good (and quite cheap) and to take some fun we decided to go to the Casinò. Yes, it is not Las Vegas, but it was my first time ever in a casinò: the Grand Casino Portoroz.

We played 10 euro, just to spend some time with an unknown world, looking to all of those glittering machines, green tables, cards and fiches! (and without thinking for a single moment we should change our lives with an impossible won)
It was incredible to look at the croupier while they were shuffling the poker cards, aligning the fiches on the roulette and so on. Astounishing how fastly they hands were moving!

But the most amazing thing I have ever seen happened under my very eyes when a man threw a single note of 500€ (FIVE HUNDREDS EURO) on a single roulette number, loosing it immediately and rising his shoulders a little bit before changing table to bet again.
I was (and still am) without word!

I can think about human stupidity or economical point of view…

Underworld: Evolution

Yesterday we decided to go to the theather to watch “Underworld: Evolution”
The movie was strange, but perfectly aligned with the first of the series: Underworld.
In the timeless war between Vampires and Werewolves, Underworld Evolution is a good piece of fight club for these supernatural creatures.

As a good role player I am, I have to tell you that the vampiristic rules of these two movies are quite different from those told in “Vampire: The Masquerade” Role Playing Game (RPG) or from the common sense I hvae grown upon vampires. A lot of guns, bombs and spectacular firearms are the “daily bread” in this movie, with a lot of blood (ok, this is correct). The plot is strictly liked to the first movie, so you have to look to the first to understand well this one, but it’s quite good. Of course you should not expect some deep plot, because this is a very fast movie, based on a lot of fights and blood, with a decent main plot.

My Brain: a tied mess of thoughts!

These days are stranger than ever. These days I feel myself lost, like I am seeking for something that doesn’t exists.
I know that some days ago I posted a similar thoughts on FCHOUSE, and I also know that in those days I am not so prolific with the number of posts, but it is really a hard period for me.

Where am I going?
Where are my dreams gone?

yes, because I think that my dreams has decided to go where I should be, without waiting for my body. I only have to say Thank You to Fabiana, that is my life, the half of my apple, that is supporting me and loving me. Without her I would be lost!

In the name of Press Freedom! In the name of God!

In these days I have followed the upsetting news about the strips that was joking against Islam.
My toughts was a little confused, because from one side I agree with the press freedom and the irony that can be used, from the other side I can understand that every population have its own sensibility and some ironic strips on Jesus can make the christians smile, the same on Mohammed can upset an entire population.
I haven’t read the satire strips, so I cannot judge if they could eventually offend my morality or not.

I cannot set myself in the dress of a Muslim, because I am not and I cannot judge, but the reaction of the muslim world has been (In My Humble Opinion) a little too hard.
The main problem is that the two worlds we are nowadays living in, are too much different one from the other and the news are faster than thoughts.

And the problem is that there is NO RESPECT from the ideas!
No WAY! Both those who had published the strips that had set fire to all of this, and the muslim response.

So I condemn them all!

Weather has gone crazy! Definitively!

Some days ago I wrote about the penguins that was trying to sneak into our flat to get a little warm. It was only one week ago, or maybe ten days while we were at -6C with a lot of cold wind.
Today the temperature is over 15C, with a beautiful sun that shines over our heads!

Do I miss anything? Are we still in the first days of February, in the middle of winter?

I think that even if there is no Global Warming, the earth is not so sane any longer… going mad like me…
:)
for now I’m glad of our 15C…

Strange Days

Sometimes it happens. Sometimes I feel myself out, like the world was only a far view, with a lot of distance between it and me.
These days are Strange, because I feel myself Strange.
These are Strange Days, days in which I feel amiss!

I don’t really know why I am in a such mood, but there are plenty of bad thoughts that are flying through my mind. I can get some of them, but a lot of others are too fast (and maybe I’m too lazy).
I have found the big ones, and those, in all alone, are enough to think well about these days, about the future.
