Sky Captain and… one of the worst film I’ve ever seen!
Posted by Carlo - 25/04/06 at 09:04:54 pmThis evening we decided to look at a strange film: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow!
A CRAP!
I have to admit that I’ve rarely seen such a horrible movie, such a useless, stupid film.
In the beginning I was trying to look at the Retro Style of the ’30s, trying to understand if the setting was good or not… I was still undecided when I start understanding that the film was something eyesore. A mix of ’30s, sci-fi, womens’ pride, supermen and wonder women!
BLEAH!
Annoying, Predictable, Useless!

Different perspectives…
Posted by Carlo - 20/04/06 at 09:04:23 amThese days are really strange!
The Italian time is running out and the excitation for the New Beginning is growing day by day. There are the latest projects to be concluded, the latest things to be packed, the latest thoughts to be sorted out; English time is coming faster than light and the days are now flying out one by one, bringing near the day our life will change.

The perspective of life is changing, with all this mess insideout our vision of the world, of Italy, of Italian problems are slipping away, because our mind is already gone, is in New Cross, London, waiting for our bodies.
The different perspective we are having in these days is able to mask all the awful things we could not stand any longer with a simple thought: We are Leaving!

What to Move, and how to move it!
Posted by Carlo - 17/04/06 at 11:04:01 amThis morning, Easter Monday, Fabiana and I have discussed about a very important thing: What material things should we move to London and, of course, how can we move them!
The easiest solution was renting a van in Trieste, travel through Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and England, leaving the van in Heathrow or any location near London, but the solution is quite expensive: more than 2500 € (1660 £), not counting the petrol, the highways tickets and the boat to get to the UK… mmm, too much!
We are exploring various solutions about shipping everything with a cargo or the normal postal service, but if it is not the price, is the weight, and we are still trying to understand what could we move and what we should leave here.
The decision is far from being simple! :)

Addio Bel Paese!

Posted by Carlo - 13/04/06 at 09:04:36 amBROGLI!

Our next stop: New Cross, London, United Kingdom, Europe, World… Outside Italy!
Posted by Carlo - 12/04/06 at 06:04:08 pmAll the steps for the big move have been done, or only few are still opened.
One of our major concern was a place to call Home in our new destination: London.
We have been very lucky to enter, when we were in London, in a real estate agency called Reside! At that time we were searching for the area we should have lived once in London, calculating how we liked it, how expensive it was and so on. In the end New Cross was our chioce, the only thing that was missing was a real apartment in which we would have lived in…

We have been lucky to find Reside Residential: we have been treated very well and the house they have found for us is Very Nice!
You can see the pics of the house in a new photo album, when we will be there on the 3rd of May (and when we will have the internet connection again) we will set up other photos!

Farewell, Italy!
Posted by Carlo - 10/04/06 at 11:04:16 amAfter years of thoughts, after months of being sick because of it, the final decision has come, “Alea Iacta Est” latins would have said.
Fabiana and Carlo will move out of Italy!
The politic, the rudeness, the lack of respect for too many things, are only few of the motivations that have helped us to decide: Italian forever, but Italy no longer!

In the beginning of May we will move to London, where we will start a new life, trying to leave all the bad things behind. We know that we will not find a perfect place, we know that leaving Italy will not leave all the problems behind, but we are tired of Italian way of living, tired of the Italian Work, of the stupid contract and the unlawful things that are done all over our country because of the maxim “Fatta la Legge trovato l’Inganno” (When a Law is created, the Deceive is found).
We want a place where to find some serenity, not a place where democracy is an optional, where the press in not the sycophant of the power (political or economical). We want a place where our lifestyle, our thoughts our moral values are not like a black sheep in a flock!
Therefore whe have decided that our life does not belong to the small city we are living in, in a nation that makes us sick, in a nation where you have to be offended and threated like a stupid every day by the men who should represent you.
STOP! The decision has been taken, the flights booked and the souls already there, waiting for our bodies.
I know that many of you will not understand, many of you will show us the dangers that are awaiting us in a big move like this, but let me tell you that we are not moorons and we have evalueted carefully the step. We understand a lot of things, but if all the problematics should have been insurmountable, we would have remaind here.
During our move FCHOUSE will have a good period of shutdown (we still have to find a good, and cheap, carrier for our little server), but we will be online again as soon as possible!
To those who knew us, to those who love us, to those who have seen us, to those who hate us, to those who we have digitally met, to the friends that advise us, to the families, to the colleagues, to the people we will never forget, to those we have lost in our life, to those who will read this in astonishment, to those who will never read it… Thank You!
Thank you for what you have done, told or thought, because all of this, from a friend or from an enemy, have helped us to build ourselves! We would like to say “farewell” to our land, but not to the people, whose names will remain in our hearts and for who we will always be present, even if a little far than today.
Goodbye, Friends, April will be our last month here, May will become the new life, in a new city, in a new nation.

Tristan + Isolde: a boring emotionless film!
Posted by Carlo - 10/04/06 at 09:04:46 amSaturday evening we decided to go to the cinema to have some good film. We got the ticket for Tristan+Isolde, because one of our friend was highly interested in the movie and also because the trailers seems to be very interesting.
At the end of the first half of the film, in one of the rare case together with Artificial Intelligence: AI, I was bored! The film was terribly slow, without any good moment of emotion, with a good story that has been moved in a sleepy way in the screen!
BORING!
The second half of the film didn’t get any change in the direction: the scenes of love, of triumph, of pain, of war… was all the same, without a bit of pathos. Tristan+Isolde=boring!
When I get to the cinema I hope to dive into a new world, unable to move my eyes from the screen, loosing the sense of time, but this time I looked at the clock, and when I saw that half an hour was left I felt a little bit of relief: that terrible movie was going to end.
The entire story has been filmed withou a bit of emotion, and what you expect from a film with a story like this one is not what you get: crappy emotionless movie!

That single stupid Spammer…
Posted by Carlo - 08/04/06 at 05:04:41 pmIn the latest month, thanks to Spam Karma 2 and Bad Behaviour plugins I have cut out a lot of spam on this site…
…but as the idiots’ mother is always pregnant…
There is still someone that tries to post some spam on this site, without even checking that his comments has the approval or not.
My statistic plugin is telling me that this pleasant one is sending the same comment over and over on the same post. The fact is that he is so intelligent thet he is using always the same Ukrainan IP, that I’m thinking to release to the public in order to understand if someone will stop him… :)
Bye Bye Moron!
