Starbucks: adapting to the London Coffee
Posted by Carlo - 31/05/06 at 11:05:01 amAt home the illy can (the black blend, more toasted) is near the mocha, but outside I had to adapt myself to the local coffee.
Big coffeeshop names have invaded London from some time on, so I decided to chose the one whose coffe was more tasteful for me. I tried Nero (the Real Italian Coffee), EAT, Coffee Republic and more, but in the end the one I like more is Starbucks!
Even if I am one of those who loves the real italian espresso, I have to admit that passing from a little cup with few black liquid inside to the “Cappuccino Grande, Triple Shot, to take away, Please” has not been so hard!

There should be a lot of words to tell about her, but I know that she like the simple things, the simple persons, so I will keep the words as simple as I can.
We Love her and we whish her a Beautiful Birthday!

Web Development: which one will you follow?
Posted by Carlo - 25/05/06 at 08:05:37 amAfter reading Frank’s post on Java vs PHP, I had my personal thought on which is the “Best” language for the future.
Well, in this excerpt I will analyze three different language:

- C# (.Net)
- Java
- PHP
Which are the point that you can rely on to choose one instead of another?
I will write down my personal ideas, in order to bring a little discussion on. I will keep in mind some important details on the utility, the reliability, the costs, the flexibility and whatsoever of the three languages.
I agree with Frank’s final, when he told “Don’t marry the toolâ€?. He is correct, as long as you are able to find the right one to chose! :)
Ok, let’s GO!

Crazy 6 gig in London
Posted by Carlo - 24/05/06 at 07:05:11 amWhen I decided to move to London I knew that here I would have looked at some good live music.
Yesterday I was invited to a gig preformed by one of my new colleagues, Daryl, who was going to play with a part of his group, the Crazy 6, in a pub in the north of London.
I was impressed by the quality of their music, by the amazing voice of Daryl and the good atmosphere they have created!
Their sounds reminds me of Bon Jovi, a melodic rock very well played and with a great presence on the stage. The Crazy 6 are really great!
“If I weren’t nervous before a gig, I would never appreciate the meaning of playing!”
…was some of the things Daryl told us before start singing.
They are not a well known group, but even if they still have to be “scouted”, they have already created an album, that is completely worth listening to! You can find their music on their website, as you can buy their complete album on iTunes!
From us it comes the best wishes for them, for their music and, why not, a good carreer as Pro!
Good Music, yesterday night at “Viva Viva“! Good Music with the Crazy6!
PS: Listen to the piece of “Stagger“, they have set on their website…. Great!

One Year…
Posted by Carlo - 23/05/06 at 03:05:05 amOne Year has passed since my father died…
My thoughts, today, is to the man he was, for the father he was. In the good moods, or in the bad moods, for the smiles he gifted me and for the wrong turn he got, I have always loved him, as I love my mother. Perhaps I never told him enough time, as I am not telling my mother, they both deserves it!

I hope he is in peace right now, I hope he is looking down to us, because we will always look up to him!
Farewell, Dad, we miss you!
Addio, Papa’, ci manchi!

The New MacBook: touching them!
Posted by Carlo - 22/05/06 at 09:05:23 amIn my entire life, every time a Big Tech was launched on the market, I always tried to get all the pics I could. Every time a tool was released I tried to understand if what I have saw on the monitor was reflecting the real item in the store.
Some times I was able, after few months, to touch some tech jewel with my hands, but this time…
Yesterday, running London up and down, we take a stop to the Apple Store in Regent Street. I thought that the MacBook wouldn’t have been there, because it was too near to the global launch, but…
…but I was wrong!
I didn’t take any live picture of the Apple Store (even if I will and I would have had), but approaching the desks with eight MacBooks We (Yes, Fabiana is Loving them like me) had a strong heartbeat in seeing four white and four black!
How are they from live? Much More Beautiful than any image could tell!

Online, Again!
Posted by Carlo - 15/05/06 at 09:05:20 amWelcome Back to Everyone!
There are a big number of news going on in our life nowadays, such great news that you wouldn’t expect, but the decision had been taken and the jumps done.
Now we are in England, living in London, and we are extremely happy about it!

Of course with the new ADSL we are online again, after only ten days of complete disconnection from the net! Our new provider told us that we would have been online for the 19th of May, but yesterday, after our trip to IKEA, we found that we were already connected. It was such a BIG SURPRISE, being used to the Italian timeline to get connected…
Well, in the next days I will start telling you something about the “London Chronicles“…
…stay connected… again!
