A momentary lapse of wonder
Fabiana is a wonderful person. Yesterday she was dressed in a quite summery way, with a lot of white things on, leaving her beloved black at home. At least more than usual.
She is not an easy subject to capture while she is talking though: she moves a lot, she is alive and her expression can change in a moment, to change again a moment later, giving me just the right time to capture a specific expression.
Yesterday that expression was “wonder”.
We were chatting with a friend in a coffee and there she was, with a strong light behind her and a sudden expression on her face, that gracious wonder in her eyes. I took the camera up and, time to focus and take one photo and the moment was gone. I love that blurred hand moving towards her glasses, in one of her usual movement.
In three months Fabiana will become my wife: I cannot wait that moment!
