Well, despite some problems in finding free places, I have finally managed to have my pass for the Barcamp London 2! I’m already working an a short presentation to give to everyone who will be interested.

I will try to talk about .Net and Database Persistency, bringing some specific examples of “middlePersistency“, a part of the framework I’m working on. Now I have a specific date (17th and 18th of February) within which I have to finish both some documentation, the presentation (keynote will help) and being ready to release the source code. I will publish everything during those dates, in order to allow everyone to take the presentation and the code.

If everyone who will koin the barcamp is interested in the topic, let me know!

UPDATE: I forgot to mention one important thing… This is one of the few presentations I’ve made in English so far; it is a little scary, but I’m really excited, more than scared. I hope everything will work fine.

  3. Hi Carlo!

I’ll look forward to hearing from you…
    Have a nice day,

PS: Of course, you’re “authorized” to send me a preview of presentation ;)

  4. Do not use UML :-)

  5. Well zuzu…
I think that more than UML, this time slides and general chatting will be more useful. I have learned that I need to focus on the target of my audience for my speech, for the level of discussion. I have learned it and you know who I have to be grateful for this, don’t you?
No worries, I think that there will be time for UML and for more “in depth” discussions once I will not be the only developer to set my hands on the project I’m bringing to life. Everyone who will use them will be able to contribute to them (this is the idea of Open Source… and I still think it’s a way of boosting a name and a reputation, do you remember I told you so?)
What I have done remembers very well my previous faults, and tries to create something useful and usable, and this the most important information I need to pass, not UMLs or anything too abstract: for those who will ask, I’m sure I will provide them something more adapt. Maybe someone will simply use it, maybe someone will join the idea, bringing his/her own knowledge and strength to the project(s)…

…I am a Stubborn Idealist, have I ever told you this?
