Battlestar Galactica
Yesterday, still cripled by a stupid flu, Fabiana and I remained at home in the evening, to relax a little bit.
On the normal TV there were anything (what a surprise…) and also SkyTv seems to broadcast only poor things… when my eyes were attracted from a miniseries title: Battlestar Galactica. If you have followed FCHOUSE lately, I wrote a post about the film Serenity, in which I clearly expressed my love for Science Fiction!
We were inspired by the title (and of course because we expected a Science Fiction series) and what we saw was very good!!!
Obviously the miniseries ended in the middle of the story (I think this 180mins episode is the Pilot one) and we will have to wait next saturday to get the final! GRRRR!
I have read that this series had a great numbers of followers in the US, and I hope that the story will continue with the same level of interest as this first part of the Pilot, because it was really good!
It is well known that the worst day to broadcast something on the TV is Saturday (where almost everyone is trying to get out) so why had Sky Tv decided to do it on saturday? Perhaps they are not expecting too many followers here in Italy, but they should have choosen a better day for an opening miniseries. For Deperates Housewives I have seen thousands of commercials, even months before the broadcasting of the second series… but nothing for Battlestar Galactica.
I fear I am one of the few to be a follower of Science Fiction here… :(
Of course there is no sight of Firefly, the TV Series Serenity was taken from, so I think that this could confirm my ideas…

Yesterday for the fan of Science Fiction was a bad day, because ‘Battlestar Galactica’ has to attract people fighting with the three episodes of ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’.
I saw in the latest ’80s ‘Galactica’ and when I saw that the series was about Cylons and so on… I decided to see Star Trek because I thought BG was the old one.

I really don’t know what kind of Battlestar Galactica I have seen, but judging by the actors I think this is the new one. The main role was played by the same actor who played the Captain in Miami Vice, and he was quite old, so I supose this Miniseries is the Pilot episode of the New Battlestar Galactica, set 40 years after the was against the Cylons.
I am unable to confirm you this, because I have never seen either the 1978 or the new one… but I wrote you my thoughts! :)

è davvero bellissimo e mi fa piacere che si possa vedere (per lo meno su sky) fortuna che in rete finché non le trasmettano non a pagamento (aspetta e spera) si trovano :)
