Clearing the vision on the future: a step in the fog.

Sometimes I find myself lost in my thoughts. Yes, it happens quite often, because I like to plan my future.
I have never stopped myself learning new things, new roles, new things that will help me improving in one field or in another.
Once my greatest target was to become a Good Developer, and now I think I am (Good? Really? I cannot tell, but everyone has a personal view of himself), but for the future my plans have changeed since some years and now I target to a new step out of my current career.
From the point I am now, I can see a lot of roads: some of them are really inviting, but the better one has the name “Senior Project Manager” on it.

Of course all those thoughts are some steps in the fog, because of the environment we are working in, in this “Italy of the Miracles” that has already used all the remaining possibilities in the previous generations.
Today the eyesight is quite limited, the knowledge is undervalued and the stairs to be climbed, so cannot be called, because every one of the few steps are so close one to the other that every steps move you higher of few millimeters.
These are not possibilities for our generation (and the next that will follow).

I am feared by the cyclic dark vision of my own country, because every thime I get it the next one is nearer than the previous.
If we rise our heads there will always be a too low ceiling we will hit our brain on.
We are cows, feeded and milked day by day.

I don’t like to walk in the fog, I’d like to be able to see clearly into my future, with my own stair with its clear steps (in time and height), but I fear that only few of us can have such a privilege.
I don’t like it, but I wanna walk in a future that will grant me the possibility to grow, under the personal poit of view, the working knowledge one and under the economical one. I have alredy moved my feet through my future and, aware as I have never been, I want to reach my grow.

Learn as you will have to live forever. Live as you will have to die tomorrow
