Clouds
last Sunday we had the possibility to go to the countryside for a photo session. Thanks to Ian Battersby, our great host, we discovered a great set of locations really worth the early start of the day. We ended up being four photographers (Laura Moreno joined us as well) with a great makeup artist and a fantastic model.
The weather moved from a fantastic and incredibly warm morning to a cloudy afternoon. We had sunshine, heat and dark shadows all in one day and I decided that nothing of that should have gone wasted. Having a strong sunlight can be hard to manage, nevertheless I appreciated it. When the clouds came out, though, I was able to capture the best of them. I think that this photo in particular would not have been the same without that incredible sky.
This was also the first time I had the possibility to test my new lens, the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. The lens is very light and small compared with both the similar Sigma and the Canon. From a perception point of view it seems very delicate, especially compared to the 24-70 Canon, but it is nice to have the same speed in a smaller body. One thing that is quite visible is a strong vignette, but apart from it I have to say that this Tamron is really a good lens. The autofocus is good and fast and it is sharp enough.
