Today we were walking on The Strand when we meet them. They where protesting against the situation in Zimbabwe, against president Mugabe.
They are there, in that small space, every Saturday from 14:00 to 18:00. They have been there, protesting for the freedom of their brothers and sisters since 2002. Every Saturday.
After 9/11 we have been told that our security should come before everything else.
I do NOT think so.
Freedom should come before everything else. Freedom of speech, freedom to choose your own representative. Freedom, pure and simple.

He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.
