Donnie Darko
I am late, I know…
I know that many of you cound tell me: “Hey, I have seen this movie some years ago…”
I know… but I have seen it only yesterday and I have to admit that it impressed me a lot! Donnie Darko was a good movie overall.
The ideas at the base of this movie, the time travels and the parallel worlds have always attracted my attention. Even if when the movie ended I looked shocked for a while, I have to admit that I had a good two hours.
One Hundred percent Good? Maybe not at all…
There has been a lot of things that reminded me of other movie, like “Back to the Future“, but most of all the main plot has hundreds of different explanations, leaving all the questions unanswered.
Good or Bad?
Both!
Form a side a movie that ends this way opens a world for discussion, an easy way to let the movie to be remembered for a long time, but obviously leaves us hungry of answers.
I have read some comments about Time Travels and Parallel Worlds and all the hypothesis have some good bases, but no one can be told to be “The Right One“.
“The Right One” is different for everyone of us, because Donnie Darko is a movie that hits everyone of us in a different way.
I appreciated the reference about JRR Tolkien and his “Cellar Door” as a cameo.

You, yes you that love to think when the film is over, this movie is for you.
For those who wants to attend some stupid movie like “Christmas wherever… another Italian bullshit movie“, ok, go and get a ticket for something else!

Le coincidenze sono quelle piccole cose che mai ti aspetteresti e che ti sconvolgono, sia nel bene che nel male, ogni volta che succedono!
Spero ti sia piaciuto, personalmente devo ammettere che e’ stato un film molto piacevole che riguarderei con interesse per scoprirne tutti quei lati che non colgono la tua attenzione la prima volta.
Ieri sera e’ stato il turno di “Man on Fire”, che pero’ non mi ha lasciato molto…
