Friends will be Friends
Yesterday I watched “Nothing Hill” and I have been hit by the special relation some Friends (Bella - the woman on wheelchair - and Max - her husband) have with William Tucker (Hugh Grant). I had already seen that film (and more than once), but every time I see how these people behave, even if in Fiction, I always think to my Friends.
Some of them has disappeared, some of them are trying to keep in touch, other seems not to be friends any longer. I miss them, and probably they are one of the few things that I really miss.
I hope they will bring us in their heart, that they will forgive us for having flown away. I hope they will be able to remember us for what we have always been: Friends.
In these moments I remember Queen’s song: Friends will be Friends.

I really like Notting Hill too (I think the DVD will be one Christmas present for my wife)… anyhow the good friends are an important part… they support Will when he has broken up with Anna… but also, the one scene where they all meet her for the first time is really true and funny, to see the different ways they react to celeberity. Anyhow it is a great movie! We watched it recently and it hasn’t dated itself too much.
Hi Jason,
the film is quite nice. One magic day (we were in Covent Garden) and there was a man that was singing the same song that you can hear wile Will walk through the seasons in Nothing Hill! It has been really Great!
I love the way the friends in that film act. It’s like “the friends I would like to have“…
Have a Nice Day!
