Get Real or Go Home
I am trying to recap the FOWA experience. It came in one of the worst week I have had lately to be honest, so the initial grumpiness was surely caused by many external factors. Once more I have realized that I am not a good ice-breaker: if someone approaches me everything is perfectly fine but my being shy is something really hard to overcome. One book states that everyone has to “Play its own strength” and I am aware that creating networking it is not one of mine. Sometimes I ask myself when have I developed my shyness and since when my imperfect english has been a barrier…
The Future Of Web Apps had surely many very interesting moments. Some speeches were more than brilliant, some of the panelist delivered very good speeches and all during the worst global economic crisis on the last decades.
One of major Venture Capitalist, Sequoia, has decided to drastically reduce the investment in startups with the cry of battle: Get Real or Go Home.
During the second day of the conference one of the panelist had some troubles connecting his computer to the huge projector. Funnily the first line of his speech were: “I have just been told that after twenty presentations I was the first one with a Windows computer!” :)
so… Get Real or Go Home!
