Ghostly London

Ghostly London, originally uploaded by Carlo Nicora.

This was one of those shot where I simply check all the settings, putting my finger on the shutter release to measure the light and… I pushed a little bit too heavily on the button, so instead of measuring the light I shot this frame. Clearly the light was too much, but I never watch the result of a photo in the small screen of my camera if not just to check the histograms. I do not bother to trash the errors immediately and sometimes it is a good thing. When I saw this shot I actually liked it. It is clearly something wrong, a long exposure for a 800 ISO, but the dreamy world that can be seen through this photo is something different, isn’t it?
