Harry Potter Books

It was time for some reading, and after a lot of strange and unsatisfactory books I decided to try something new.
I was reading Sol Levante (Rising Sun) from Michael Crichton, but the italian paperback version I own had a little problem: in the first 40 pages, every other page was completely blank! Not good!
Not only I have changed from some “Political Thriller”, but I also changed the language: I am now reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, after finishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in two days! And of course I am not reading it in italian, but in english!!! (Finally some english books different from some development manual!!!)

I have to tell that til now I have always watched only the movies, but…

…but I have to tell you that as always books are better!

Even if I read the evenings, or generally when I am tired, I have to admit that the first book was very easy to understand, and this one does not differs from this point of view!
J.K. Rowlings writes very well and she lets you inside the Harry Potter’s world.
Unlike other writers, she hadn’t stopped herself too much on the description of people and places in these books, letting the reader without too much hints to immagine the characters and the extraordinary places.
I have to admit that, for the first time, I have never associated what I have seen in the movies to what I am reading in the books! It’s Good, because I am reading with more enthusiasm.

Yesterday evening I “ate” one quarter of the second book, and I expect to finish it before monday…
…then I will have “The Prisioner of Azkaban“, “The Goblet of Fire“, “The Order of the Phoenix” and “The half Blood Prince“!

God Bless Fabiana that decided to take all the Harry Potter books in english, to start reading “differently

…by the way I hope she will finish reading “The Goblet of Fire” before I’d get there…

…queue to read a book…

Hi Katy!
I was looking at the movies without being attracted to the books, but the things changed when I have seen the latest movie. It is more “mature”, less child book.

The books are well written and I can feel the pathos, even if I am not reading it in my mothertongue.

The movies are going better and better, and so the book are doing!

Bye!
