Her voice

Her voice

Some days ago I had the possibility and the luck of taking photos during Iona Leigh’s live performance for the release of her new album. The church we were in, St James’s the Less in Pimlico, was very dark and in some shots I had to push my 5DMk2 to the limit. I also had the possibility to use an external flash bounced on a California Sunbounce MicroMini. That helped a lot and in this photo you can see that it did, allowing me to keep the ISO quite low.
Iona’s voice is incredible and despite my tastes in music were never on her genre, I have to admit that her voice had won over me. Her album, Beside the Waves of Time, is really good and I enjoy listening to it.
Amongst many shots I took, I think this one has something in it. I would not say that it is the strongest I have taken, but the pitch black background is interesting and the tones of sepia works well.
