In awe of the celebration

In awe of the celebration

I am deeply analyzing my photography. I am not interested in what I have done but why I did it and where it will go from now on. As I have told many times I am still looking for a mentor, mainly because I am not entirely satisfied of my photos. Someone the other day told me: “You take good photos but everything I see in your stream is something already seen”. Oh yes, it is true but still going outside the known, playing far from the usual game is nothing easy.
I did not mind the point that I am doing things already seen, I see it as a step forward. I am questioning myself on where I want to go with photography, and I am asking myself questions very seriously.
I would love to receive critiques more often, because they are fuel for my thoughts. I do not mind rudeness because it is not the critique or the question that drives my thoughts but they are just the kick-start for some deeper thoughts.
Right now I am not asking myself if my photography is common, I am asking myself if I like it as it is or if I want to seek something different, and if the latter is the case, what am I looking. I am still struggling with people, I love them and I fear them: they can make me become a better person because it is only with the confrontation with the others that we can improve!

This baby was in awe of the Diwali celebrations in London this weekend. Her eyes were transfixed on the many people gathered in Trafalgar Square. I have to admit that from an Indian celebration I would have expected more colors but I was a little deluded (big word).
