iTunes TV Series Store
This evening I’ve read a very interesting news about iTunes Store: in collaboration with ABC and Walt Disney, iTunes Store will start selling TV Series episodes the day after the airing!
For $1.99 you can now download your preferred episode.
Apple pushes hard on the new iPod, giving the possibility to sync the episode into the latest born in the Cupertino’s “mp3 Player” (Yes, it is reductive, I know)

I think that this idea should be great, but there are some points to be checked before every speculation about it…
First of all I have to say that for the moment the TV Series could be bought from the US customers only, so every of you whose eyes were glittering thinking about Lost or Desperate Housewives, be advised: if you are not in the US you can forget it for now.
There are two main questions that comes to my mind about it:
- Will the video have the same limitation of the MP3? (Limited number of copies, limited player in which you will be able to play it, …)
- Will the video have a GOOD resolution (HDTV)? Or simply this commercial operation is limited to those who will buy the new iPod?
On Apple website it is told that the video can be viewed… “watch them on the go. Just try that with your big-screen TV”… so it should mean that the resolution will be good enough.
I will wait to get the episodes also in the rest of the world…
