Lately I am pushing myself in going VERY neat to my subjects. I have discovered that practically none of them are aware of me, even if my camera is extremely noisy. Some of those who are aware of the camera are surprised, some others try to hide but the best are those who like it. This couple was in the last group: I saw them from distance and I raised my camera, still not completely sure of the shot. He was quite a character, then he saw me and he raised his hand. What hit me was that differently from all the others that had showed me the victory sign in the past, he did not smile, he kept his inquisitive look. When we crossed they did not look back and after a while I turned away, smiling.
Lately I cannot reach the level I would love, it is like I am not completely able to capture the “Moment”. Is it a sort of writer block for photography? I have a lot of work on my job and in the last weeks one of my teeth bothered me A LOT, then when I get my camera and I get out I am not completely able to free my mind, thinking positive as I should.
