MacBook: act two!
Today I was prepared: I called the Apple Store, that confirmed me that the MacBooks were finally arrived!
HURRAH!
So, when I finished my working hours I ran there with Fabiana, ready to buy one. Selected configuration: MacBook white, Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM!

I stopped the first shop assistant and I asked her what should I do to buy one (and of course to have the memory expansion). Thrilling moment!
She calmly asked me (and not in a great manner) which one I wanted, and after my answer, she told me that I would have to pay the price of the MacBook PLUS the 2 GB of RAM that cost £420.
My jaws fell down.
I asked her why and she told me that the 2GB RAM expansion would not replace the 1GB that came bundled, but that I should have bought the 2GB apart. Thirlling moment, again, but different. I should have bought two slots of 1GB and thay would have given me (in my hands) two slots of 512MB… for what?
I told her that I had seen the price of the RAM and that was £120 per Gig, but she told me that it was £210. In the end, after some debates, it comes out that the RAM effectively would have costed £120 but, first of all they were out of stock of RAM(again) and that I should have had to pay 2GB, not one. £240…
I left the store withouth another thrilling moment…
In the end Fabiana and I ordered the MacBook directly on the website, paying 1GB extra for the RAM. The delivery will take some time, but we will have it!
PS: those who know me, also know my great luck when I buy any sort of tecnological equipment (my last laptop had its motherboard substituted FOUR times), so Fabiana did everything… maybe this time the laptop will not have any sort of malfunctioning!
