Max the Violinist

Max the Violinist

I have met Max more than once around the National Portrait Gallery. On his wheelchair, playing his violin and watching those passing by. The first time I stopped to have a chat with him i was because I saw he was looking my digital camera with a little bit of disgust.
I do not think that digital is “real” photography – he told me that day.
We discussed about film, digital and many other things before we both decided it was time to separate. The second time I was there I had my SLR in my hand and I asked him if I could have taken a picture of him with it, a real film camera. He happily agreed, and I had the possibility to take this photo.
Tomorrow I will print a copy of this and I will handle it to Max.
