Neon Genesis Evangelion: ten years later
Today I was putting some things in order and I decided to watch the first episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion. It has always been my most beloved anime ever, and getting back to it ten years after the first time I saw it has been really Great!
The first episodes are the best, while the latest ones lack the magic touch (and money) of the best. In 1995 Evangelion didn’t get a lot of attention while it was written; only months later it became the masterpiece for the anime lover it has become. The story is quite complex, even if you watch it without questioning yourself it may seems only a Robot-Anime. Something it is not.
Well, in these months I will complete the saga (I’ve watched eight of the 26 episodes), also with the separate ending: even if I like the original one (Shinji rediscovery) the later has been powered by the renewed money source.
