Number Zero
I do not know his name. This guy was sitting on one of the first step of the fountain in Piccadilly Circus and he was placid. I do not know if he was waiting for someone or if he was just spending some time relaxing, but I know something for sure: he is “Number Zero“. Since I started taking photography from another perspective, using film to understand this new perspective, my approach has changed once more. Probably the approach inside me was the biggest change, nevertheless on the outside this must be visible.
Number Zero looked at me, smiling and asking why I wanted his shot. I simply told him he was a character (he is indeed) then he smiled and said “ok”.
I like the fact that the smile he wore while I was talking to him vanished when he looked around, as he was doing before my arrival. In this shot you can see what I saw.
