Olympus shockproof point and shot
Few days ago I popped into a camera store to buy a new lens. While Fabiana and I were waiting to be served a couple near us enquires about some Point&Shot cameras. The seller show them some models and nothing was special as long as he decided to show them an Olympus who is supposed to be shockproof. The salesman grab it from a nearby stand and literally threw the camera on the counter, missing it. I was in shock, but the salesman start laughing, mumbling something like “Sorry, I miss it…”. The couple was in shock as well.
I had already seen the commercial, but I was skeptic about the camera. Ads usually exaggerates the quality of products. In this case the salesman calm in throwing the camera around (he did also when the couple went away) is quite convincing.
In the end I took a quite cheap Canon 75-300 USM. It has been a quite good choice, you can see my first test on flickr!
