Oracle 10g XE?

The battles to get the crown of the Better and Most Used database are burning nowadays!
MySQL has gone out of the “Free For All” license, PosgreSql has started the “Windows Escalation“, SqlServer is going to hit the market also with its “Express Version” and Oracle is still not ready to abandon its position.

And if Oracle will not give way its position, what will it do?

Oracle has released the Beta version of its 10g Express Edition (that you can freely download here ).

This version does not have any free source code and has a list of technical limitation like one single processor only, 1GB Ram maximum and a limit of 4GB of user data, but the developers will not be required to pay any royalties to redistribute the new baby Database.

I am a real fan of Oracle and I am downloading this 10g XE right now! When I will test it a little bit I’ll let you know my thoughts!
