Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Notting Hill Carnival is a Caribbean carnival, so the title matches perfectly, doesn’t it?
This year experience at the Carnival has been fantastic. The girl in the middle was playing with that toy gun, and let me tell you that she was the leader of the group: no one would have challenged her! Those eyes were looking for someone to treat like a vermin, just because (in those clothes) she could have. A very well devised character!
Differently from my usual tones, this time I have decide to bring the colors up. I wanted this shot to be strong, something ready to jump to the watchers’ eyes.
In these months I have strengthen my passion for photography and I am building up experience.
As Cartier Bresson said: “Your first 10000 photographs are your worst” and I am glad that I am improving every day. I sill lack a lot of technique and a lot of knowledge in human interaction. I am still a very shy person and I will have to improve a lot in the way I relate to the subject of my shots.
Yes, I am still looking for someone to mentor me, to show me the bad things I do. I need someone to underline my weakness, helping me to improve where I lack capacities and to strengthen the quality I have developed so far.
