Plane Crash, again and twice!

Until now I haven’t speak about it, I know.
In vacation I was out of order and without internet connection, far from the newspapers and the news in general, so I get the news of the two disasters only on my return, yesterday. I’m still trying to organize my thoughts about four planes crashing in some few days…
I’m stunned…
I feel myself a “Free Thinker” and a “Conpiracy Believer”, but when someone, today, suggest me about manumissions I had to tell you that I do not believe in it.
The Helios airplane that fell down in Grece had problems of presurization also in december, so it is hard to believe that it was not a tragedy. Of course everyone can ask himself who is responbile for an Announced Disaster like that one… Everyone could think whatever he/she wants, but I believe that there must be someone that set the “Green Flag” for that Boeing 737.

What remains of the Helios airplane

The only thought I have for these crashes is the knowledge that too many people have died.
I am (was?) one of those who thought “A plane trip is safer than a car one”, but four accidents in a months are something we have to analyze well. With the exclusion of the Air France one (the weather was incredible as it was reported), for all the other crashes it seem that a mechanical problem was the cause.
I’d like to let you know that today a EasyJet flight landed in Bologna because the passengers smelled something burning…

Hey, isn’t the Passengers’ Safety the most important part for a airline company? Alitalia, the italian flag company, one of the “Big” carriers in europe, is on the economical collapse border! If a flag company is so, all the others, maybe in poorer countries, where do they get the money to secure the planes?
Well, in my life I’ve took hundreds of flights for travelling all over the europe. Once I got a hard landing in Munich because the hydraulic pumps were out of order… Hey we landed at the very beginning of the airstrip and the plane switched off before a complete stop. It hasn’t been a nice episode to live, but the carrier (British Midland Commuter) was immediately suspended by Lufthansa as worker partner between Munich and Helsinki…
What happened in Venezuela, where a MD-82 of the West Caribbean Airways was the grave of 160 peoples?

Now, I cannot understand what the people who died had tought, I cannot understand the pain of their parents, no one but them cannot! But if we want to take our next plane without asking if we will come down alive, if we can do something for the victims (for them, yes) we should ask for clarity. Who was responsible for the disasters?
Are you my carrier? Are your plane perfectly working? Are the inspectors right people that think about the passengers and not about some bribes?
If it is not those carriers must be closed! A single airplane of their fleet must never take off again!
I can understand the low costs carriers, I have used them to. I have flight to London for 100€ (complete route Trieste-Stansted-Trieste for both Fabiana and I) because it is CHEAP!

I hope that those tragedies will not happen again … but I’m pretty sure they will…

Hello all!

welcome back to normal life btw!!

Sigh, sob, sniff… I need two more weeks of vacation!!!

:)

Ok, stop.
Being worried about flying is like being worried of walking around the streets: it doesn’t help!
I think that if the tragedy must happens, it will, if you will be prepared or not! Sometimes, when i flown on old and noisy aircraft I found myself thinking about any problems I could get in, but I was never frighten because I was thinking at too many things…
Don’t worry about your flight, it will be good, but NEVER stop to ask for more security!

God Bless your travel!
:)
