Some good books, some bad books

Last month I have read “The Historian“… a slow, boring, well written bud badly plotted book about Dracula. I have finished it only to give it some credit until the last page. It didn’t deserve the time spent on it. So last week I take another book by Harlan Coben, “No second chance“. Previously, from the same author, I read “Deal Breaker“, a very well written book, intriguing and interesting.

No Second Chance This time the plot was really interesting, and Coben has been able to cover the truth of the story until the latest pages. Some of the links he created in the book (in both I have read) are a little weak, but the plot works. That’s enough.

On the other side he is capable of getting the reader deeply involved in the story. This is definetly good for a book: no boring pages you would have liked to skip, no pages where you said “…no man… this is really impossible!

That’s Good!

Next book will be Body Double by Tess Gerritsen… I will let you know something about it when I will finish this almost 500 pages book.

I have to admit that reading in english is not so hard, on the contrary it is a good excercise to train myself, and to pass the 45 minutes on the Underground in an easy way (after I have finished my morning “metroku“, of course)!
