Strong scents

Strong scents

One of the first shots from the Carnival 2008, I was still warming when I saw this woman, walking towards us. She sneezed once or twice when she got near the food stalls.
The scent of food was strong and it was relatively early. I know that 11:30 is not so early, but the streets of Notting Hill were still empty and the food were just being prepared. The streets, in less than two hours, would have been packed with people of every ethnicity, color or belief.
After she sneezed she start scratching her nose, and the scene was unmissable! Luckily I had set the correct settings on the camera already, therefore it had been just the composition and the small burst.
Usually I have two different settings I use: Manual and Aperture Priority. When I have small lenses I always go for Manual. I read the light on the palm of my hands. With the 70-200 on the contrary I prefer the Aperture Priority because my targets are far from me, and usually the light is different there. (And I cannot set ewasily my hands in front of the lens+hood!)
