When I posted the casting call for the models, I also posted a casting call for a Make Up Artist. I did not receive hundred of applications as I did for the models, nevertheless I had to choose amongst a dozen of them. To be honest we ended up with just two candidates and I sent the first email to Suzana, because she was my first choice. I was lucky: she answered promptly and she revealed to be a great person: reliable, proactive, a good artist and a nice person.
After the first session, Fabiana and I worked with Suzana once more and the results were even better! She worked very well with every model we had and she also proposed particular makeup to be used in some particular shots. She never proposed a boring face or an excessive mask: she will be our first choice for every future studio shot!
We also underlined that she could easily stand in front of the camera because of her presence, and when I had to check the light settings for this particular shot I asked her to stand in front of the camera.
For this shot I used two soft boxes in front of her, one high and one low, with my camera just popping out from the middle of the two lights. I like very much the result, the diffused light and the peculiar shadows.
