The Fountain of Summer

The Fountain of Summer

For the second summer this nice fountain has been opened on the South Bank Centre. I have seen it already and I thought I had enough of photographing it, but I was wrong. Indeed I am not very interested in the water bringing its walls up or down; the real fun is provided by the people that do not get bored of it.
It is fantastic to capture the expressions and the movement of the people who get caught in the middle of it, the excitement and the fun in their faces. I love the way the people are scared of becoming completely wet. The children run through the walls of water having fun, but you know that if you have a camera, taking a photo of a child is always a risk nowadays…(!)
This is another sign of the summer approaching. Sun, heat… and the fountain on the South Bank of London!
