The Painter in his World

The Painter in his World

Sometimes people’s reactions are strange, nobody can deny this. I was walking towards the photo shop to develop my film, and I had just one frame remaining in the roll when I saw this man. He was holding his notebook and he was drawing. I was immediately interested by him, by his attitude and his attention, so I stopped and asked for his permission.
Whatever you want…” he told me, completely uninterested in what I had asked him.
For some seconds I stared at him, but then I realized that he really meant what he told me: he was in his world, concentrated in what he was doing. I was not in that world, I was just another noise.
Do you want to know what I thought?
One of the best subject I have ever had!
I did not have to ask him to carry on what he was doing, I did not have to ask him to be relaxed, himself… and all this because he wasn’t paying the slightest attention to me. he did not even replied when I said “Thanks”.

Yesterday I picked up the developed film and I was really bothered when I imported the digital versions. The photo had tones of red, some of blue, some others of both. This time I went to a good shop and I expected some quality (also taking into consideration the bloody price I had to pay). What is going on… can people recognize a Black and White negative before printing or scanning them?
