The Tube workers on strike

Yesterday when the strike started the problems begun. The bus I thought I could have taken was not crowded, neither was packed: it was exploding! Luckily to get home I can use the Northern and the Jubilee, two of the three likes not affected by the strike. It is not an easy option, because if usually those are packed, this afternoon we had to wait a lot and to travel pressed inside the carriage!

Transport for London

Yesterday the Major (Ken Livingstone) and the TfL (Transport for London) have given enough guarantees to stop the strike, but for now the Tube will remain crippled. Two unions have already decided to stop the strike, but the biggest one does not seem to be ready to give in.

I do not say that the unions are doing anything wrong trying to protect their workers from the disaster of Metronet, but it has already been confirmed that no one would be fired, and that the pension schemes will not be touched; so why this strike is going on?
