The Web is Something New!

Through some links I have been able to see this short, but great video! I think that this vision alone is able to express more than thousands of words can.

I think that the idea is really great, and that the only way of producing it is the Web 2.0 itself! :P

yeah :)
i like the presentation and its content.
specially when it tells about that “data and its way to be formatted”.
i see it much harder (but agree) when speaking about privacy and copyright, and “we are the web” it’s true; what can the web do itself without the “contents” and “authors” ? :) the same as data and its format. Many things to show, and many ways how to do it.

Hola Franz!
Well, there are many important things “hidden” in this brilliant video.
One of the part that are more deep is the fact that “we are the web” also means that we are the content producer, we can decide the copyright of the information we produce.
The monopoly of the content providers is going to crash against the web, and we can change the things, we can also pretend something more from our governments about privacy.

As Frank has wisely pointed out:
we are the web

This is the reading key!
Obviously from a technical point of view we have to try to a semantic web, with a strong separation between different layers. Information and layout should never be mixed, but this is the nature of HTML, the dorsal of the web. RSS and other techniques are coming out, requiring a more “semantic” approach. We are the Web, therefore we can change the things.
We can decide and propose the next standard… it’s like David against Goliat, I know, but the web is something that act is strange ways, and sometimes it happens that a single voice is reflected so many times that it become a worldwide point of view!

Cheers!
