Trieste in white

This morning I woke up hearing the strange sound of a shovel against the asphalt.
??? …what… ???
Outside the window, in the dark of the morning, I saw the snow!

Ok, the quantity and the quality (mixed to water) of the snow was not impressing, but it’s always strange to see it here. Trieste is a strange city, fit between the sea and the mountains, so the snow is something really rare, but highly magical!

My fear is that the weather forecast are telling us that we will be hit by the Bora (our in-famous high-speed wind) and that there is the risk of a big icing.
Where the real risk is?

If the streets will not be cleaned well, the wind could ice the snow that will come down this night, creating a layer of ice on the roads!

We have lived the same things two years ago, when the city was almost paralyzed for an entire week: I hope that the story has taught something to those who will have to clean up everything!

Obvoiusly, even if this could block us for a while, I cannot be silent about the magic of the snow on the sea, on how this city transform itself if covered with a white layer of silence. Sometimes it will be better if the snow will come more often: we could appreciate the slow-living of the snowed life, we could learn how to be more relaxed, giving everything the right time, the right rhythm.

Slower.
More Relaxed.
Lived time, and not lived by time!
