Walking Amongst the Ghosts

She was walking in the crowded street amongst many others, her face covered by her black veil. Her dark eyes were flashing, looking ahead. They did not seem to notice the figures around her, those highly lit noise around her, those ghosts.
When I composed I had a moment to decide if I would have taken that shot or not. Taking a photo of her really seemed to me like removing that veil: I could not do it. Then I decided not to lose the shot without invading too much, and I shook the camera slightly, willingly. I was lucky that the time it took me to decide how to do it, the other figures went under the sun, becoming overexposed!
I am glad I did it, I am glad the photo did not come perfect, I am glad she is more than a ghost in a ghost world.
