Wasn’t this the Land of Sun?

Some times ago, talking to Katy, I told her that Italy is the Land of the Sun.
She was afraid of the hot sun and the temperature she should have found in Italy during the summer.
I know that Summer is not still here (few days to go), but in the last years we was used to go to the seaside at midnight to take a refreshing bath in the first days of June (if not in may). Maybe it is true that the global weather is going slightly mad because of us! I’m not thinking about 35 celsius with a relative humidity of 90%, but having 21 celsius with some hours of sun every week is something I expect in April, not now!
Shitty summers comes and go, strange things happens (two years ago we reached -10 in december and one month ago we get 38…) but I’n not used to this changes every two weeks!
I’m one of those who think that humanity is wiping out the world we know, even if I think that something should be done without drastical resolution. I support WWF and Greenpeace, but my final tought is that “Gaia”, our Mother Earth, sooner or later will become bore of us, and it will destroy us all. Remember that the Earth is a living creature, that like all the other species defend itself. Most probably the humanity will anticipate Gaia with its stupidity and ignorance, maybe through some atomic war that will let the scorpions and other few species be the ruler of the world!
He he he… thoughts like this are deign of “The day after tommorrow” and other movies, but I do not know how far from the reality they are if we do not do something REAL for the world that is holding us all!
Returning to the main idea that gave the title to this post, I can tell you that today the sun shines here in Trieste (even if the clouds are menacing rain and the sun does not shines from this morning) and the temperature is 21 celsius: not a perfect day for the seaside. Waiting for the weekend, even if I will not be here, I hope for some more sun and some less rain!
