What to Move, and how to move it!
This morning, Easter Monday, Fabiana and I have discussed about a very important thing: What material things should we move to London and, of course, how can we move them!
The easiest solution was renting a van in Trieste, travel through Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and England, leaving the van in Heathrow or any location near London, but the solution is quite expensive: more than 2500 € (1660 £), not counting the petrol, the highways tickets and the boat to get to the UK… mmm, too much!
We are exploring various solutions about shipping everything with a cargo or the normal postal service, but if it is not the price, is the weight, and we are still trying to understand what could we move and what we should leave here.
The decision is far from being simple! :)
Should we move all the things we are attached or sholud we limit the shipment to the “NEVER WITHOUT” things? mmm, I think that we will try to understand clearly what the best solution will be, in order to move the right material stuff at the right price! (But we are still searching for the correct middle way!)
It is also hard to find some cardboard boxes “hit proof” enough to make the stuff safer during the travel, but it seems to be a very hard task: all the reseller I have found and contacted has told us that they sell only to companies, not to private persons… OUCH!
Now the clock is going to cut our last two weeks here in Italy and the remaining time to decide the things to send, how to pack them and how to ship them is running out! So, if any of you knows a way that we could use, do not hesitate to warn us! :)
