FCHouse A blog about our lives, our passions, our photos

Where are we going?

Yesterday we talked about London’s terrorist attacks with some friends of us, and we try to speculate about the future.
Europe and USA, this is clear enough, will never lower their heads in front of the terrorists. This is a simple fact. Maybe they will retire from Iraq (I hope, we are not welcome there) but our cultures are similar in this: you cannot surrender to the violence against your nations.
Do I think it is correct?
Yes, I’m sure that no one should ever be free to bomb our cities and kill our friends.
Note that I told that no one should ever be free to bomb our cities, and I would have told even f I was Iraqi.
Knock Knock Mr. Bush, hello Mr. Berlusconi, are you still there? What did you do in 2003? You bombed them!
DON’T TELL ME THAT IT WAS RIGHT!
There are other countries (Like one of the better USA allies in Middle East… but it is not Israel) whose laws are Totally in conflict with the American laws, and the extremists follower of the Koran are there more than they were in Iraq!
Oh, God, the people know why you have started the conflicts in Afghanistan (and 9/11 was the causus belli you have searched), why you have doubled your fucking efforts during the second war in Iraq. Everyone knows that those wars was for the Black Gold only!
It’s not worth dying for, Mr. President!
The deaths are following us in our country because they are at war with us, because they think we are invading them. Arent we?
Leaving the recrimination of the past I’ll concentrate on the …What If… I discussed yesterday.
English Police, short after the yesterday’s bombs, told the people that there were no chemical risk.
First Point: This clarify that they expect a chemical attack.
Ok, folks, our government are expecting some chemical attaks.

How much time will pass untill an idiot will decide to use it? Well, I hopa that in this case the ignorancy and the religions will not be linked together, else a LOT of people will die.
And when thousands of people will die what will our Presidents will do? They will respond with another Cursade against the Muslims, because our culture is telling us that they are the “Bad Guys”. Our Culture is WRONG, they are not the “Bad Guys”. They are Different from us, with different ideals!
Ok, let me return on the “Civilized World’s Revenge”… The most important man in the world is (MY PERSONAL OPINION) a Jackass, so why shouldn’t he decide that this time the attack would have come from… Iran, for example.
Think about a tube fulfilled of chemical aerobic virus (Ebola, fortunately, is NOT aerobic), with the cameras to be the only reporter alive. We are talking about thousands of death. DISGUST. Yes, it would be! I will be nauseate if something like this will happen (I pray God to send the Peace and the Intelligence to the people who sould eventually decide on it!).
REVENGE!
I can immagine the President of the hit nation talking to the survivors, telling them and the deaths families that JUSTICE will be done.
Yes, with a very Brave act that stupid will wipe an entire region out of our world! With a single button.

This …What if… should continue, but the fear of what I’ve written is scary, and I do not want to think about it, because it should be our end and, belive me, I want a living ground for the chilren I’ll have!

Do you think I’m TOO far away from the truth? Or that the Human Beings that can “Push The Buttons” are smarter that I immagine?
Let me Know!

In the meanwhile, I’d like to save a prayer for all the casualties of these stupid wars, indifferently if they are Iraqi or American, Chatolic or Muslim, Black or White. They cannot walk anymore on the earth, and in all those dead, I’d like to remember you all the innocent children!

Dear Carlo,
Hi, I am katy’s sister visiting beautiful Italy during my summer holiday. Reading your most recent posting I can entirely understand your speculation after the London bombings. I spend many hours with my friends back home in London talking about the future, but never will we give in, we have several catchphrases: “Business as usual” and “we will not be afraid”. And because of this we will never withdraw from Iraq, this will make Bush (especially) believe his decision was just. However I do take exception though i understand your comment about we bombed them, that is not actually factual, the british people went out in droves thousands and millions to protest against the war… but we weren’t listened to, yes the government we elected did make that decision, but NO ONE deserves to be terrorized. Terrorists have the capability to upset everyone’s tranquilty, their main aim “TERROR”. This terror is not like war, it is unexpected. I go through London after the bombings and everyone has slightly changed, London has an electric organic buzz that keeps the city alive. But now something has slightly shifted, we will not be moved no, but while we are there, there is a sense of caution. But London will eventually return to a sense of “normality”, the horrors we saw will become a memory. My only hope is we can use these experiences to move on, to solve the world problems which are on the stage at the moment. Best Wishes to you all, and hope for the future Elizabeth

Hi Lizzie, I’m glad to hear your comment that is very interesting!
First of all I want you to know that I hardly condemn terrorism’s act, because they are act of cowardice and infinite stupidity. The second thing is that I was against war too, with my peace flag out of the window and my saying NO TO WAR, but Italy is there too, side by side with Americans and British, therefore I think we will be the next target…
You are completely right when you say that no one deserves to be terrorized, and th elife that can be lived under this constant terror is something I’ll never wish to anyone! Trieste is so small that we will be safe, also because it is a crossroads of cultures and religions and this makes it a “safe place for everyone” even if the italians of Trieste are not so “open minded” people. But I understand the feelings of living in terror and I hate that.
Sadly it is said that “The history teach that the history doesn’t teach anything”, and London will remember before starting to forget, at the same way a lot of us have already forgot why all of this started.

Peace, being together and accepting the other for what they are is a first step to stop terrors, in our countries like in their.
Then the people should stop making war for money, but this seems more utopia than dream!

By the way: nothing against the people that live in terror and absolutely nothing with those who deliver it, but we (Western Civilized World…) should make a BIG conscience exam, not to tell that they are better or worst than us, but to understand what we can change of ourself for the good of our lives (of everyone) and the generation that will follow us.

Thanks and Have a Nice Stay in Italy! :)
