Windows XP on Mac: not a hackers’ job any longer!
The name you will hear from now on is “Boot Camp“, and it is Apple’s first step to support Windows on the new MacIntel!
For those of you, like me, that were hungrily looking to the new Apples hardware, but well knowing not to be able to change their operating system (our loved and hated windows) the yesterday news of the release of a new software that will allow you to install Windows XP on the MacIntel the time are becoming ready!

The problematics likned to the differen boot on the new generation Apple hardware is finally gone. Even if BootCamp is only in the first public beta, you can download it. Of course you have to have a new MacIntel, the latest version of MacOS X (10.4.6) and the courage to install a first beta! :)
Boot Camp should be installed by default from the next version of MacOsX, Leopard (10.5), the new version of the Apple operating System that should be expressd thought for the Intel based mac.
This move from the Cupertino’s company is a clear sign of the start of a cold war where both the contenders should be the winner: from one side Apple should rise the sales of their hardware (that are their core business), and from the other side Microsoft should find an unexpected ally in its old enemy.
Where are we, the customers? Even if we will find ourselves in the middle of this cold war, Microsoft users will be able to choose the hardware also from those sources that once were off-limit, being also switch easily our OS towards a new world… From the other side the Mac users would be able to have a copy of windows (even if no single Mac user will confirm this) to do all the things that Windows do better (games… but nothing comes onto my mind right now).
I will remain tuned to the possible outcome of Boot Camp, because for the first time I can see a real possibility for the future for my own personal interests! :)
My next PC? Well, I will take a look to the Windows performances on Apple PC, and then I will be tempted to switch from my IBM (a very good machine) to a different hardware logo!!! :))))
GO MAC!
